Burak Yeter is a Netherlands-based producer, DJ, and remixer of Turkish descent. He is a bachelor in civil engineering, master in sound engineering, a certified DJ instructor, owner of Connection Records, and DJ schools in Amsterdam, Istanbul and Los Angeles. His music brings a global perspective to energetic, feel-good club music, combining progressive house with elements of Turkish as well as Western dance-pop and hip-hop, while maintaining awareness of important social issues. He developed his DJ skills, and won a DJ concert sponsored by MTV Dance in 2004. He began remixing numerous Turkish pop and dance artists, and his debut album For Action, Vol. 1 was released in 2005. For Message, Vol. 2 followed in 2007; the album’s songs contained lyrics intended to raise awareness of global warming.
Yeter won two awards at the Kral TV Music Awards in 2010: Best Remix and Best Newcomer. He also released the full-length Maschine that year. In 2012, he collaborated with G-Unit rapper Hot Rod on the song “Mr. International,” and filmed his first ever-music video for the track. He also released his album Blue, and won Best Remix at the Kral TV Awards a second time, for another Pekkan remix (“Arada Sırada”). He had a huge international hit with a cover of iLoveMakonnen’s “Tuesday,” which charted in over 20 countries and was certified platinum in Western Europe. Yeter then dipped into tropical house with his single “Go.” His most recent single, ‘My life is going on’ was released last year.
