While other guys were playing football and picking up girls, 13-year-old Gábor Baki was sitting at home in front of his computer. After playing a lot with strategy and shoot ’em up games he discovered a program called Impulse Tracker.
He got into techno and house music at a very young age, thanks to his sound technician father and his father’s friends so the first impressions came from the living room.
After having his first release at the age of 15 on a Hungarian compilation his first own record came out on Dutch label Work White, sublabel of Olav Basoski’s Work label. Still only 17 he had releases and remixes on Work deLuxe, Mechanism, Pornostar, and Gravitation, then on Cyber, Nascent, Method and Baroque.
In the summer of 2004 Andro did a huge step towards his dreams and becoming famous when he created his remix of Pink Floyd – Another Brick In The Wall. After Satoshi Tomiie’s hammering it, the track was played by almost everyone.
After several other remixes, he won a Hungarian remix contest, and was voted for best Hungarian producer and also the newcomer of 2005, then the best producer in 2006 on a Hungarian poll. His Nature Wakes remix reached #1 on Hungarian Radio Deejay chart, and he launched a mutual show with Snake Sedrick and Yvel & Tristan on Proton Radio, called Indigo.
At the end of 2006 he reached #146 on Dj Mag’s best dj poll, as the first Hungarian dj ever on the list. Later he estabilished his own digital label called Ching Ching, where he intends to release his tracks and remixes.
