A PROPOSAL FROM THE CONSULAR SERVICE:

It is recommended that citizens arriving in France with the intention of going skiing should be adequately insured: in addition to the "European Health Insurance Card" (available from the OEP before departure), it is recommended to take out special supplementary insurance for luggage, accident and rescue, because without it, any possible costs, often considerable and without cover, will be borne entirely by the citizen who has suffered an accident. It is essential to comply at all times with official warnings concerning the use of the slopes, the weather and, in particular, the avalanche risk, and to be aware of and strictly observe any official bans.
